Implementation

The Occam Security and Engineering team can guide the client through the entire implementation process from receiving the procured systems until they are installed, tested and accepted.  We can also assist with integrating the various disparate systems and then commissioning the entire system.

Occam can make periodic visits to the site to observe the progress and quality of the various aspects of the contractor’s work.  The team shall review the contractor’s schedule and compare to the project’s proposed schedule. During the installation, the team will typically assist in reviewing the contractor’s work to ensure the proper materials and equipment is installed and operates properly.  The team will review and approve monthly pay estimates submitted by the contractor.

The team can coordinate and conduct a final inspection, and make recommendations to the client for final payment of all contractor invoices.

Other elements in which Occam staff typically perform services include:  an installation ‘audit’ and test of the operation of the systems, reviewing compliance with the specified operational requirements,  a thorough review of the operating and maintenance instructions, schedules, guarantees, bonds, certificates of inspection, tests and approvals, and finally,  testing of the  components of the installation for compliance with (the appropriate) industry standards.
