Policies and Procedures

Occam Security and Engineering routinely develops Security Procedure manuals for our clients.  These manuals are prepared to meet compliance requirements for the National Incident Management System (NIMS) as mandated by the Department of Homeland Security.  Training Drills and Exercises are also part of the requirements as well as procedures designed to meet the audit compliances requirements for quarterly and annual re-certifications.

Security Policy manuals are often overlooked.  Security Policy defines the reporting structure for security within an organization.  Policy defines the way that security procedures are developed and how they are implemented and mandated.  The security department cannot function effectively until Security Policy is developed and implemented.  Occam can assist the client in retroactively developing the Security Policy after the Security Procedures are prepared.
