Procurement/Bid ProcessOccam Security and Engineering can manage the entire procurement process. In addition, we routinely perform such services as identifying qualified vendors and negotiating maintenance contracts for after the sale support.
In a typical contract, the Occam Security and Engineering team will develop the engineering design and procurement specifications and then assist Clients in soliciting qualified bidders, prepare a pre-bid conference agenda to cover the key elements of the project, including basic project requirements, bidding requirements, bidder qualifications, project timelines (bid and construction), intent of operation, and scope of work. The team can respond to contractors’ and suppliers’ inquiries regarding the drawings and specifications and issue addenda, as necessary, to clarify or expand the bidding documents. The team can determine which security contractors are qualified, analyze the bidder responses, and participate in the review and rating of proposals received from prospective contractors. The team may perform a cost review and present a recommendation for acceptance.
Occam staff can recommend the contract award based on information gathered from the analysis above and prepare the Contract Documents for approval by Client and the selected contractors.
